Anchoring a boat securely and lowering an anchor weight when you worry about the anchor dragging, is a very old anchoring technique. Here is a video that shows how the Anchor Buddy anchor weights or Kiwi Anchor Rider anchor weights are put on or taken off. An AB30 model Anchor Buddy anchor weight (AR30 Kiwi Anchor Rider) for boats from 9 to 18plus metres (30 to 60+ feet) is used in the demonstration.
